It's 6am and in a half hour we're taking off for our day of relaxation at the beach. I think we all feel like we're in need of this in a huge way. Many of our bodies are aching in muscles we forgot existed and we're ready for this days break. Brandon, Brody, Ali, and I (Josh) took on a group of young men in soccer after they challenged us to a game. We played well, but couldn't keep up with their endurance. Score USA-4 Costa Rica-7. But it opened some huge doors for relationships and for us feeling excepted.
Our beach day will consist of stopping at some tourist sites on the way (crocodile filled rivers included) to the beach and a complete rain forest tree top canopy tour on zip lines. So you won't hear from us on the blog till late tonight...so we're off.

I'm happy Ali got some practice time in! 2-a-days have started without her. From this blog I can see Ali is not having any fun ;-). I am very envious. I did tell you to take that rain coat Ali!!! LOL I loved the video and I pray you all have a hot sunny day at the beach. Ali, do NOT chicken out on that zip line. You will embarass your swat dad! LOVE ya! Dad (& Grace) after a long night shift at the fair goers!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that there are times for you all to be quiet and then to have a day of rest and tourism. And, at the same time hear how much contact you have with the kids! I see that the posts are arriving late at night, with early morning breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI pray that you all would be getting enough rest, sleep, and renewal this week. May your joy, laughter, and smiles continue to shine for Jesus. I pray that this day will bring some sweet connections within your team.
May you all have ears that are finely tuned to hear His voice, for in His voice there is much delight and encouragement.
Blessings,
Maren

wherever we go, that's where the party's at
hands up, holler back now
we don't claim(ed) any know how
